Abstract
The technique of co-precipitation has been attempted in various cases of production of mixtures of oxides having accurately controlled composition covering a wide range which have specific electrical and magnetic applications. The major constraint in producing a co-precipitate is the control of pH and occasionally the temperature, within a narrow range to ensure a desirable and uniform composition. This technique has been commercially utilized for producing uniform powders capable of being pressed and fired to give accurate sizes for such materials. The powders have been variously produced by spray drying the co-precipitate which ensures uniform granular sizes.
