| During the developmental work on microwave
ferrites suitable for X, C & S-hand frequency
applications, it was found essential to
establish a quick method for the quality control
of microwave ferrites. It is well-known that the
microwave characteristics of ferrites are reflected
in their equilibrium oxygen contents.1 Hence, it
could also be used as an auxiliary and quick
method for the quality control in the production
of microwave ferrites. The equilibrium oxygen
content of ferrites is generally found out by
determining the available oxygen content by
chemical analysis and from it deducing the
oxidation states of the different constituents. |
