Abstract
Tin oxide films were deposited on cylindrical alumina substrates using dip coating technique. These films were subsequently dried and sintered at 500oC for development of microstructure having nanoparticles of SnO2 and adhesion with the substrate. These resistive gas sensors were tested for H2 of concentration range 7-3900 ppm at the operating temperature of 260oC. The sensors also showed good response to acetone vapour (11-5500 ppm) at operating temperature of 200oC. These sensors showed good temperature sensor selectivity.
