Abstract
This paper deals with the various aspects of achieving homogeneity of ferrites during the process of manufacture. Electron probe microanalyser is used extensively to ascertain the homogeneity of the samples prepared. The results obtained by X-ray fluorescence analysis, classical chemical analysis and atomic absorption spectrophotometry on the ferrite samples are brought out in order to make a comparative study of chemical homogeneity obtained at various stages of the process. Electrical and magnetic properties of the sintered ferrites are discussed to emphasize the effect of homogeneity on the end product.
